Unfortunately, there are so many people living in 2018, with a 1935 mentality. With such a diverse country, it is totally unacceptable to still not be receptive of different cultures and ethnicities. We still live in a world, where people feel that certain ethnic groups shouldn’t have certain things or be able to accomplish certain things. The jealousy that comes from the amount of education someone has, the clothes they wear, the friends they have, or the car they drive is absurd. Why is it that we can’t just respect people of all races and backgrounds for the things they have? Is it that we are intimidated by what we don’t understand? Are we intimidated by those who have more knowledge than we do? What’s the point?
Learn to be okay with those who may be in a different place in life regardless of the color of their skin. Be okay with someone having more degrees than you regardless of their background. Be okay with someone who is younger than you and still has some youth left in spite of their religion. Be okay with the girl who has the man of her dreams regardless of how many failed relationships you have had. When you seek to find fault and bash others for silly things, that’s a reflection of your own unhappiness. You start to make things up in your head that don’t really exist, because of your own insecurities. Accept the fact that God saw fit to make us all just the way he wanted to. We are all here for a purpose, and no one is better than the next just because of skin color, religion or position.
So instead of being bitter, do something about your unhappiness. Go after whatever it is you want. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re white, black, yellow, or brown. Just do it! By taking one step at a time, you can achieve whatever it is that you desire.
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Mark 3:24-25
