Be Free!

There were so many days I would spend in my prayer closet weeping. Pleading for God to just allow me to feel true happiness at some point in my life. I felt so dead inside. Here I was expected to lift others up and be a good mentor for so many, but I myself didn’t feel as if I was getting any love or care. Who would listen to my issues while others poured theirs on me? In a strange way, the others I lifted up during my storm, was what kept me going. It was the only thing that kept me going. In fact, it saved my life. Every child that I have mentored has unknowingly saved my life.

I didn’t realize all that I was missing until I was free from the chains. At first, it seemed so strange to me. It felt like being in a foreign country where I have no clue what anyone is saying. In fact, there are many days that it still feels foreign to me. I never knew that I wasn’t living, but instead just existing. I was just going through the motions. I never knew what it was like to really just life, without being so stressed out.

Freedom! The beauty of freedom! I shared that secret struggle to say this..... Never and I mean NEVER allow anyone or any situation to stop you from living. You only have one life, so take care of it and make the most out of it. Don’t worry about what anyone thinks of you. You have the power to make every day a great day. Once time is gone, you will never get it back. Don’t waste a single day on this Earth, because tomorrow is not promised. Live a life of freedom daily. Be free from the bondage of trials and tribulations. Be free to explore, experience new things, share, love, laugh, dance, sing, and be happy. BE FREE!
