Dear Graduates,
You have come so far. Now is the time to spread your wings and fly. The only thing that I ask, is that you don’t try to fly away so fast. This is such a critical time in your life, so don’t try to rush and grow up faster than you have to. Take the time to stop and smell the roses. Whether you are going to college, the armed forces, or into the workforce, don’t abuse and misuse your youth. You are so powerful right now in this moment. Please take the time to really enjoy it. What you do now, will affect the rest of your life. The decisions you make now, will affect your future children. Please learn as much as you can. Listen to the wisdom of the older men and women around you. See the world, laugh often, smile always, make memories, and learn from every mistake. Don’t rush into anything that you are not truly ready for. Be careful of the company you keep. If your circle doesn’t help to push you into greatness, get a new circle. If your crew doesn’t support the positive things that you are trying to accomplish, leave them alone. Never allow anyone to treat you less than you deserve. Stand up for what you believe in, and don’t settle for anything short of your dream. Lastly, and most importantly, keep God first. Let Him guide you. Be great, and have the time of your life!
